Looking to get a phone for my daughter. Given that most of my stuff is Apple, and I've ended up as head of household IT, I'd rather a phone that will integrate with all our other bits.
Has anyone seen any iPhone SE's about? It really needs to be new (it's a present), pink (not a deal beaker) and 32GB. Apple USA are selling off some old stock but not in the UK. There are several sellers on eBay which claim to be new ones but I'm uncertain of their providence.
Thanks.
I got mine from giffgaff fairly recently, are they still selling them?
unfortunately not
John Lewis are doing the same deal. 6s for £300.
I was hoping for closer to £200, thus the SE.
Would there be a reason not to do;
It says they are factory fresh..
I think you are going to struggle.
Apple was encouraging retailers to shift the stock a while ago, so most primary resellers have got rid.
Unless the source of the US stock is made available to the official UK market, you'll be stuck with secondary sources (see above).
Refurb might be the best bet - the phones will be boxed (but not an Apple box) and tbh, unless you use a magnifier you'll struggle to spot that it's a refurb.
Go to the network stores to see what they have. Here's a Tesco SIM free rose gold 6s for £245.
As it's warranted, the only issue will be the non-Apple box (although the box used is tidy and premium quality, just not the classic logo).
What about a 6S?
I just bought one from Argos.
Bigger screen but doesn't feel as bulky as the SE.
Only thing is I'm a bit underwhelmed by the battery life having come from Android. I don't know how the SE compares.
There are rumours that an updated SE might be forthcoming fairly soon, but they are only rumours so far.
