Looking at getting a broadband connection at a property that has no phone line at all. There is no physical connection between the telephone wires on the poles in the road. It has never had a telephone line.
I always thought that only BT/Openreach could install a new phone line but it seems that some providers other "installation" as part of the package.
Does that mean the actual wire to the house as well or is it just the "activation" of a physical line that is already installed?
Other providers just get bt/openreach in to install the line
Just had that with sky, no line from the pole, only dealt with sky and paid the standard installation cost (may have been free). Openreach was the person to turn up and connect wore to the house and fit the socket.

This. They still own the network infrastructure.
Hull have their own telecoms co, or are you near a virgin cabinet
