Or Paypal rudeness?

"Dear supreme overlord of funk, (yes the name has been altered)

We emailed you a little while ago to ask for your help resolving an issue
with your account.

What's the problem?

Please provide the necessary information by 24/10/2011. If we don't receive
the information in time, we are required by law to limit access to your
account. When PayPal limits an account, your funds may be held until we've
confirmed your identification as per the User Agreement"

What's the problem? What, do you want a ****ing fight about it?

It probably is just me but the wording came across as quite antagonistic IMO.

Aren't they based in Switzerland or somewhere equally sterile and non-confrontational?

I've had more colourful conversations with the Odeon booking line.

They're a monopoly. Why should they care?

Good luck with that.

Yes they are sanctamonious ****ers.

When they pick you for this "special" treatment it can work out as a real pita (well for me it did - in the end I just had to open a new account with a different card).

I had a wonderful issue. £800 paid into my paypal, I forgot my password, no problem say they, send us proof of your address and we'll send you a new password. Great, I moved three years ago and have no proof of my former address that is current. I can offer Passport, driving license, Forces ID, NHS ID, various other things, but no, the best Paypal can offer is, "after 30 days the money will be returned to the sender, try asking them to send you a cheque."

Given that it took me a month to get the **** to pay in the first place, and now he's got my bike and my money, whats the odds of me ever seeing either you useless bunch of "Pals".

three months later, and a visit to his mums house (100 miles away) I got most of my money.

Never accepted pay pal as payment since.
