Gets food reviews, but it it worth the premium price over another similar jacket such as the Fox Fire for £70.
Just wondering if if anyone had one and thought it was worth the extra ££
I’ve got a Gore Windstopper jersey and think it’s great. However I paid about £60 for it.
One of the reviews said they paid £99 for it. For £200 I would be getting full GoreTex jacket
Oh and why grey for riding a bike ? I want to stand out to car drivers notblend in
I find windstopper isn't that breathable, I certainly think there are cheaper materials that are at least it;s match. The material aside, Gore cycle clothing in general is well made.
I really like mine
not so sweaty
not comparable to gortex
paid under 100 though
All the gore stuff I have has lasted ages , so in that respect it is worth it.
I'd wait for the sale....:-)
Looks about £100 over-priced to me
I find windstopper isn’t that breathable
I couldn't disagree more. I have a LS Gore Bike Wear (back when thats what they were called) windstopper softhsell jacket which I wear most of the year from Autumn through Spring, its shower proof but heavy rain eventually gets through. On warmer days Id wear a short sleeve jersey or base layer under it, colder days I wear a long sleeve base layer under it, but never really need to wear more than that under it really. Rarely overheat in it.
Yellow one is down to £100 at TG store if you are still looking
