the 1.9 is certainly an easy job to do - not that ive replaced it but ive pulled mine out and given it a wash through. plenty room and good access.
hardest part is getting a good bleed on the system - there are a couple of hidden schrader bleed valves that if you dont bleed will give airlocks.

I've got a 1.6. Tried to flush the rad the other day but struggled to even get the bottom hose off.
Access is pretty restricted unless you have a ramp. I've ended up taking it to a garage...
I've now been told I need a new radiator, radiator fan etc. £550. 😥
If you have the time, daylight and access you should be ok.

Trying to do the radiator on the floor with no ramps isnt going to happen - unless you park half on half off a kerb or something.
My berlingo is tight to change the oil filter on the floor TBH - my van is no issue - same vehicle same engine - blingo much lower for some reason.(both have new springs on the front as well)

New fan assembly too, flush and fill coolant etc etc labour labour...
Not happy but just can't see that I can do it all easily enough without a ramp.
top tip - dont buy the cheapest radiator off ECP - it wont last.
Never had good success with cheap radiators.
last time i changed a radiator(on the frontera) i had the original one recored for about 120 quid rather tahn buy a cheapo ..... thats worked out well for me. THe cheapos folks were putting in on the forums were lasting about a 18 months before springing leaks - the original was 20 years old.....previous to that id stuck a cheap on in my fiesta - it holed at 13 months - i just rad welded it until i got rid of the car for a scrap a couple months later.

Put one in our old C15 back in the days of Serck Marston. Vaguely remembered it came with a lifetime guarantee which they honoured when 4 years old.
The Scudo rad was an OEM Valeo for about £110.
Kayak - does it really need a fan? Seems very coincidental for both to fail together. Or are they just being lazy not wanting to bother swapping the old parts? Fans and sensors etc were still fine in the above examples at 155k and 133k miles.
If you go rad seal route go for the better version called k-seal.
Hardest bit will be the bleed. I'm sure there will be a video on YouTube.

depends if your buying the timber or not... that wouldnt even dent my scrap wood pile. - he has also made them long for fitting under his low car .
Ive seen full size up in the air type pits made from wood - the kind of scare the shit out of you ramps 😀
i just use a pair of cheapo sealeys i got years ago - best tool ever for a drive way mechanic.

Sadly yes. It's seized. The car has been overheating when in stationary traffic for ages. Realised fan wasn't working, but carried on and avoided traffic...a bit.

Citroens tend to have bleed valves towards a the tops of the heater matrix pipes as they enter the bulkhead from memory.... But just follow every water pipe and look for the highest spots as that's normally where bleed valves are.

I am just about to scrap a 1.9 non turbo Berlingo (rear ended) where I only replaced the radiator and hoses (plus back tyres) 3 weeks before I got hit if any good to you?
I'm in Leeds it's a 1.4 petrol I'm not sure on what fits what tho
