Our oak tree is dropping more acorns than the government with exam grades and the sloe berries are dark, juicy and ready to pick. These are normally end of September events I thought.
What's it like north of Southampton?
Baltic up Romsey way. We've gone straight to winter - can't be over 20 degrees today
Its because someone fitted some summer fast rolling tyres. Please put some grippy winter ones back on and all will be well.
Well within normal seasonal variation. We've not had any frost yet and that often happens in August.
Losing all the apples and pears from our trees now. The wind hasn’t helped.
It's certainly felt very autumnal in Southampton the last week or so and this coming week doesn't look much better...
Lots of wind, rain and dark clouds.
Might get better by Saturday, but it's the Bank Holiday weekend, so it's bound to the pants.
Pretty standard for NW England in late August. Very "back-endish".
It's within the normal range imo, as scotroutes says.
We have ducklings in the local park. Seasons don't seem to line up at all.
Nope that’s normal for sloes be a few more month here.
Summer was also a month or two early remember?
I just wish the sodding wind would stop. Can only recall one still day this year.

Yep. Absolutely sick of it now. Sunny outside but sitting inside as wind still blowing.
Still vert warm, we've had half the house windows open for months on end now.....

Misread this as you could still only recall one day this year. Was about to post "Lay off the sauce"
After being put off by today's on-off rain between Warnford and Rake, I've just realised I might have to attempt my first 100Km ride of a virtual nature, if the weather is rubbish on the bank hol weekend... In order to keep my run of monthly Strava Gran Fondos since May running! 😮
After getting pwt in warm rain last week and exploring the limits of adhesion of G-one AR tyres I put my winter tyres on. Great big knobbly things and don't actually feel any slower on the road.
One or two areas I was riding in had surprisingly autumnal colours and that is in sunny Devon and I did hear the heating come on early morning a couple of times.
Martins are still flying about though.
Hopefully after the bank holiday it will all settle down again.
