lass at works asked me to help her out. i cant, but i said i know who can 🙂
basically her laptops dead, and shes got all her music on her ipod. she wants to transfer it to new laptop, but its not letting her. ive googled it and it seems to be possible with itunes transfers, but she says shes ripped all hers from her cd's.
can anyone advise what she needs to do to be able to get her itunes/ipod back up and running on a new machine please?
cheers
Winamp - has built-in support for iPods.
Within Winamp, you can then 'copy music to local directory' (or words to that effect).
Ta da!
I used to use a programme called Senuti for ripping music off ipd onto computer.

thanks a lot, ill pass that on

yeah winamp and ml_ipod should work, but it depends a little on how itunes encoded the files. I think they might use some sort of copy protection on ripped CDs, but I'm not sure
