I'm looking to start covering some bigger distances on my new build and rather than stumping up for a Satmap etc I'm hoping to use my iphone6. I did attempt this with previous iPhones but they usually ran outta puff due to the demands of the constant uplink on GPS via mapping aps etc. The iPhone's 6 battery is better but I still need a mountable case and would like a extra battery pack in a single compact unit.
Does anyone have/use a particularly good type that they would recommend? It does without saying it needs to be all weather.

Rokform sport looks like the one! Although I will still need a ancillary battery pack.
Use one of the solarstorm battery boxes it has usb out.
Top tube mount it like you would for lights
