Can anyone recommend one!
Dropped my phone last night - still works fine but the screen is in many tiny pieces! 😕
Or I've seen ads for mobile (as in they come to your work place!) repair companies. Has anyone used one of those?

Do it yourself. Its about £30 for the screen and digitiser off Amazon or Ebay.
Takes about half an hour if you're slow and careful and aren't ham fisted.
I'm 50 mins away if you're desperate. Or can go 48 hrs without it.
Thanks wysiwyg - I'll see if I can find someone local first.
Out of interest how much is a new screen for an iPhone 6. Just looks like screen cracked. All working fine to touch and swipe.

There's one in ripley on Oxford Street. When I went with a galaxy charging issue they were very honest where others hadn't been and said the phone would need to be sent away to repair properly.
£79 at the Apple shop in Meadowhall - they'll likely just give you a new phone.
For a 6 go Apple as you save next to nothing going 3rd party.
It's all replaced in a oner. As bonded together. And £55
I would take it to apple. the screens you can buy yourself are normally rubbish and can cause other problems like unresponsive touch screen. I cant remember if the 6 has touch id on the home button but messing with that can cause the phone to lock and apple wont touch it after that rendering your phone useless.
An apple repair will cost you £126.44 and they quite often just give you a new phone.

It won't be a genuine Apple part if you don't go direct to Apple.
That price is interesting though Andy, I don't have applecare and my phone was nearly two years old yet I only paid £79.
Hmm looks like apple have upped their prices!
So yeah, £80 did I say.

It's £79 I had mine done a few weeks back.
I was just quoting the prices from the apple website. Mine was a 6s plus though.
I ended up going through the insurance on mine as it was only £50 for a new phone to replace one with a cracked screen and cracked case from dropping it and it sliding down my drive.
Yes, the link confirms what you say. Its been changed since I did mine about six weeks ago.
Yeah just looked at that fully seems they bumped it up to encourage people to buy Applecare.
So wysiwigs £50 seems more tempting now.
