I'm thinking of buying this iphone http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/new-iphone-4s-white-16gb/95947681 I'm not paying the asking price.
I have asked why he is selling it, for more pics and to see it working. Is there anything else you would ask?
He seems decent in his emails and I have checked his facebook, young chap but not a scrot!
Providing it's a genuine Iphone shouldn't be an issue. If you're on vodafone you should be able to put your mini-sim in there and check it. Obviously sounds like you're doing the obvious suspicious questions.
What would be tell tale signs of a non genuine phone? His story ads up that he got a 32GB phone through work.
"I want this gone TODAY" is enough to make me steer clear. Even giving him the benefit of the doubt as to it not being stolen, he doesn't sound like anyone I'd want to enter into a transaction with.
If you want an iPhone, I think I saw one on the classifieds here earlier today.
Yeah I did contact the person from here but I wanted to knock the price down a bit and she was happy to stick with her price. Which is fair enough. Hmmm you've got me thinking now!
I want this gone TODAY and the reality of selling that day are two different things.
What often happens is, person gets new phone, sells phone on gumtree, waits 3 months, declares phone lost, claims on insurance gets new phone, your phone then gets barred. Win win for him. Lose lose for you.
