The wife and I both use my account to buy and download apps which we can then put on both our phone. She has just bought a couple of apps which I have gone to download to my phone, but I am not able to do so as button which would normally be pressed to download says 'already downloaded', anyone have any ideas..?
Are you both using the same itunes account?? sync them both through itunes.
All done on same account but on our phones, never had a problem up to today.
have you sync'd to itunes
Also you can go to settings > store > switch apps to automatic download
It's means if your wife downloads an app it will automatically download to your phone.

Had to disable mine as kept finding all manner of crappy aps appearing on my phone..... usually to do with fertility cycles or breast feeding
