New phone time 🙂
I have a Galaxy S4 Mini and the battery life is pitiful. This is putting me off getting the latest(ish) Samsung phone. I have an iPad so i'm a bit used to the interface and so i'm thinking about the iPhone 6 (not the 6S though)
Anyone have either of these phones? Opinions?

There will no doubt be loads with both who have their own preference. Mine is the iPhone as it integrates with all my other apple equipment with no fuss and just works!
Just got an S6. Never used an iPhone so my comment is next to useless, but I'm here to tell you that if you turn off Google location history it goes from lasting until bedtime to being at 80% charge by bedtime for me, and I use FB and don't hold back on any of the other crap. Also downloaded a theme that has a black background rather than the default white, this saves a load of power from screen usage.
You could try that on your S4.

Charged last night, 98% when i went to bed just after midnight. Down to 20% by lunchtime today. On charge now but it will need finishing off when i get home.
Not a gamer, video or music streamer either. Just light browsing, mostly on here or FB
Did you check the battery usage report in the settings?

Interested to know why not the 6S?
I've had a couple of each as I'm a serial phone swapper. I think the S6 is a better device and I enjoy using it more than an iphone. Better camera, feels faster, better screen, feels nicer in hand. However I keep coming back to an iphone aa the wife and kids all have ios devices and moan at me when they can't face time me. Definitely prefer using an S6 though. And I say that as someone who has used iphones 90% of the time since they came out.

Sure they are the same price as 6 though.
But the 6S has the super duper camera as standard now amongst other features iirc.
Just had an essential update delivered to my S6 incidentally. Presumably the security flaw.
IPhone 6S is a bit more expensive but I've been doing some research tonight & it's not out of the question
i had a galaxy s4, good phone, switched in may to an iphone 6, i prefer it.
biggest thing for me is the battery life, also the iphone just works, a phrase that ive heard from many apple users.
You hear it from apple users cos they bang on about it even if it's not particularly true 🙂
Went from an iPhone 5 to a S6 Edge about 2 months ago now plus the Mrs has an iPhone 6 and I much prefer the S6 to the iPhone. It just feels nicer to use than the iPhone, the screen and camera are better too. Battery life is better than the iPhone but not by much but there are a few features that I miss from the iPhone such as not being able to restrict specific apps from using mobile data and stopping the phone from connecting to unknown wifi networks.
