Hi, looking for advice on recovering an iPhone 6 that is stuck in Recovery Mode please...
My son has a 6-week old iPhone 6 and had it plugged in to his laptop while updating to iOS 9.2.1
However during the iOS update he thinks the (iTunes?) driver on his laptop corrupted and his phone was plunged in to recovery mode.
Apparently the phone needs plugging in to iTunes to bring it back in to normal operational mode but iTunes on the laptop can't detect the phone as the driver is goosed and the driver can't reinstall because of the recovery mode.
It's all gone a bit catch-22, any clues how we can resolve please?
Should I just send him to see a genius at an apple shop?
tried this?

...re-install iTunes on his laptop?
Yup. If the driver is corrupt. Try DFU without first though jussin case
Will do. Ta!
Download the correct firmware locally

Then restart in DFU mode and ctrl > click on the Restore button in iTunes and you can navigate to the downloaded .ipsw file and iTunes will install it for you.
