My iPad will not connect to anything bluetooth, i've tried network resets, airplane mode and unpairing and everything else google offered me as a solution.

Its got the latest ios and is only a year old.

If you're backed up to icloud you could go nuclear and a full wipe?

That would identify if its hardware or os.

With iPad problems your first step should be the classic ‘turn it off and turn it on again’. This solves a remarkable number of problems. I assume you’ve tried this already.
Next you should try a hard reset - this clears the memory that apps and the operating system run in (but not your data; that will still be safe) and solves even more issues:

Hold down the home and on/off buttons at the same time.

Keep holding the buttons even after the slider appears on the screen. The screen will eventually go black.
When the Apple logo appears, let go of the buttons and let the iPad start up like normal.

I hope this helps, but as you’ve googled solutions you might have already tried this as well. Let us know how it goes.

... just one other thing, iPadOS 13.5 has just been released, it’s possible this is causing the problem. If it is this there is usually a quick patch.

A quick search led me here: http://www.iphonehacks.com/2019/09/fix-ios-13-wifi-not-working-slow-dropping-out-issues.html , which suggest there have been a few ios13 wifi problems, and it’s adding 13.5 issues as they appear. You could try going through the possible solutions offered here.

Thanks all, I tried the home button/power button hold and whilst waiting for it to boot up checked my phone only to find the bloody speaker connected to it. Switched off the BT settings and hey presto the speaker is now discoverable on the ipad.

Even at half term, every days a school (boy error) day
