I have my mums iPad which has a lot of photo albums. I'd like to transfer the albums and photos onto my Mac. How on earth do I do this?

I've tried AirDrop but it fails most the time. Then when it does work, it misses random photos.

I can transfer all photos to the Photos app on my Mac but it doesn't transfer the albums.

Any ideas before I spend all night emailing each photo to myself?

Easiest way probably just plug the iPad into your Mac via USB?

Otherwise use iCloud Family Sharing and share the photos with yourself?

Via USB transfers the lot but without albums.

Don't have iCloud.

It’ll take you minutes to setup an iCloud account to allow sharing and then a few minutes for them to appear. Far easier.

I think this is the best you’ll get. iCloud shared albums as above limit the max number of photos and aren’t full quality.

There’s an app called PhotoSync I use to sync from iOS to a NAS, it could sync to a shared folder (network share) on the mac, it _might_ do albums.

+1 on iCloud, so simple and backs up the valuable images.
