I'm 99% sure I'm going to buy one to replace an iPad 1 which has been taken over by the kids.
I'm not really interested in an Android device (including Kindle Fire), but are there any issues to watch for before I click buy?

Ta

I recently asked the same on here and got a few answers before I bought (swapped an iPad 2 for an iPad Mini)

I love the mini, far more useable for me than the full size iPad2.

No problems whatsoever with it so far, love it.

Had mine for 6 months or so, and find it awesome! So much so, that I've stopped taking the laptop to most places and rely on my ipad and keyboard. My only complaints would relate to all apple / iPad stuff, (flash, iTunes, connectivity, etc), certainly nothing specific to he mini.

Been very pleased with mine. Came from an original iPad to the iPad Mini. On its own, its much more holdable than the big ipads and as such, I find much better for reading books on.

I have mine in a wraparound fake leather case thing that opens like a book. Makes it a lot larger, but much easier to leave lying around and not worry about getting it scratched.

Flash is a dead issue on any mobile device, Adobe have effectively killed it off. There is no development work being carried out on Flash for any mobile OS.
As for connectivity, what problem? There's the camera kit, allowing the use of SD cards, or Dropbox or AirSharing.

Love mine, however I'd like a bit more memory for storing tv series, I'd go 32gb would be my only tip for the device, then if you haven't got one get an Apple TV!

My wife has had an iPad Mini since Christmas - no problems so far and she much prefers it to the full size iPad she also has.

She still prefers her laptop for lots of things though, including watching movies etc.

Had mine for some time now and love it to bits. Ideal for travelling with and stick all sorts of films and TV series on there.

We have a house full of apple kit and the consensus is that the ipad mini is the best thing apple make

I of course stick to android in a futile attempt to stick it to the man...
