My original iPad Air is starting to slow down and the memory is full, so I'm in the market for a new iPad.
Ideally I'd like something a bit smaller as I only use the iPad for traveling and still use my MacBook mostly at home. So the reduction in size and weight would be great.
Seen pretty good deals on 128g refurbished iPad mini 4s from Apple (about £350 delivered). It's got a retina screen and long battery life and weighs bugger all.
Would be used for web browsing, video, DSLR camera SD card backups on holiday and some editing of both RAW and jpeg etc.
Is it still worth buying as it's not been updated for over two years, looks like there won't be a replacement next year and this will be the last small iPad. It's got an A8 chip which is less powerful than want I have in my phone (iPhone SE) but it's still way more powerful than my original iPad Air.
I picked one up a few months ago and it's been fine. Updated it to ios11 and all good as far as I'm concerned.
I have one that goes with me in my work bag and to be honest I prefer it over the 9.7 in Pro that I have at home.
I've not had any issues with performance, and the form factor is spot on for what I need it for
Just what I wanted to here. Resisting updating my phone iOS 11 yet even on my phone
Defo. I've got a mini 2 and it's still perfectly usable (on ios 11).
