So, my wife has deleted a Note from her iPad3 unintentionally and would like it back - does anyone know how to do it? I may die if it isn't found! Arrgh, wrong forum, sorry 🙁

From the notes app?

Presuming you don't have a previous backup with it on?

Is she connected to Apple's cloud service whatever it's called? If she's done a sync before deleting it then it's possible that it's on there.

It looks like we have a back up on iCloud. However, I don't understand how you access the backup to recover the notes file.

In that case check the Apple support pages there'll be a set of steps to help you.

Try logging in to iCloud on a computer, use your Apple ID to login, you should get a screen that looks like the Apps icons, if Notes sync'd to the cloud then it might still be in there. https://www.icloud.com/

I've not found the file on iCloud or iTunes. Has anyone used one of these programmes that scan the device to extract the hidden files such as iSkysoft? I'm reluctant to cough up $59.95 if its a bit pants.

You can try to tap settings and then iCloud and then switch notes off. Next, switch them on and then restart the devices to refresh the notes

No idea if it works.

Thanks for the suggestions. For various reasons we ended up recovering the Note from the iPad memory using "Phone Rescue" its not cheap but was the best reviewed recovery software I could find and it worked!

@jersey make sure she sets up new notes in the icloud folder. There is a recently deleted folder and you can get them back instantly. All this is visible in the Notes app on the iPad
