Hi all, as per title really...

I have an Ipad that I'm going to be using as I broke my laptop, and want to load a few films onto it from my PC for traveling.

I've installed VLC media player on the ipad, and I managed to copy a film to the ipad some time ago last time I was fiddling with it and I can play it in VLC, but I dont know where the film is located on the Ipad, even using ES file expolrer I can't locate where the file is.

Also plugging the Ipad into the PC via USB I can open the ipad folder, and DCIM folder, but it wont let me copy files to it.

Any ideas how I can locate where this movie file is so I can delete it, and add more?

There is a "Files" app on the iPad, have you tried that (unless it's mega old & you haven't updated it for ages!!)

Ahh found it thanks .. files app, and 'on my ipad', the film is there! Along with a 'place media here to add them' icon.

Now if I can only remember how the hell to do that!

if you have enough storage space on iCloud I'd just use that from your PC (can download an iCloud Drive app I'm sure) for file transfer. Haven't physically plugged a phone or iPad into a computer for data transfer for many years now!!

VLC is useful in that under the “network” tab, you can transfer files from PC to iPad by way of browser on the PC and wi-fi.

I'm not signing up to netflix due to a lack of decent content. I'm also close to cancelling my prime sub... aside from the odd things I've already seen, there precious little content worth watching.

Theres only so many puerile american shows I can stand, things like worlds most notorious serial killers, and aliens impregnated my girfriend... thanks, but no thanks.

I've got file transfer sorted now anyway, but will look into VLC file transfer too, seeing as it's built into the app...might be easier than teamviewer.
