As is the trend out pupils now have been issued iPads but without a major rewrite of courses to make them iPad compatible we are using current courses but with blanks and "write your own note" sections. It's not a problem for pupils with money but those with less disposable income are yet again being disadvantaged
This is a difficult task using your finger and to be honest I really need my pupils to be able to write.
So after much searching and applying I have secured £1000 to buy styluses. I'd like to put 5 into each room leaving a bank of 10 as back ups.
Where can I get really obvious styluses (colour or printing) at about £20 each where I can buy 50 in one go? Trying to avoid Amazon temu etc.
There are a number of Apple Pencil alternatives, which get very good reviews, and which are significantly cheaper, if I recall.
Offhand, I’m afraid I can’t remember what they are, I have a Pencil that I bought with my iPad six or seven years ago, and there weren’t any real alternatives back then, but if you do a search for ‘best Apple Pencil alternatives 2025’, that ought to give you a bunch of options to choose from.
Logitec, Ugreen, Zagg or ESR seem to be pretty good, according to Digital Trends, but they only give Amazon prices, which is probably what most searches will offer, so you might have to dig around for alternative sources and prices once you’ve found something that might be worth looking at.

Yes, I feared that was how this was going to go. I have a non iPencil stylus which is pretty good. So looks like best option.
