Thanks to all my colleagues for keeping us free (ie hiding and covering up) from injury for another year, I have now got another iPad.
What's the easiest way to swap everything over from one to the other?
iPad #1 is the iPad 4, and used by Mrs Seadog, attached to all her facebooky emaily website stuff.
iPad #2 is the iPad Air, and used as mine.
So I want #1 to become #2, and vice versa....
It's apple stuff, I'm sure it's easy, if you know how.
Back up the old one then plug in the new one and restore it from the old back up. Easy peasy.
Make sure they're both backed up to iTunes. Make an up-to-date backup of each if not.
For each one, restore software in iTunes and it'll give you the option to restore from a backup - just choose the backup you want on each iPad so they are swapped around.
Should work just fine. If you encrypt the backups when you make them on iTunes, it'll store passwords etc.
You may be able to do it via an iCloud backup too - but almost definitely going to be slower and more error-prone.

You "can" back-up to iCloud and it isn't error-prone. If you have both got your own Apple id's its really easy
