no, not that kind of IPA!
I've been given an app by work to install on my work iPad pro. In iTunes I can drag and drop it onto the 'on this iPad' section of the side bar and then sync the iPad. the file copies (there's a progress bar in iTunes which runs to the end) and I get the clock face installation icon on the iPad screen that says loading then installing.
Once this is done, the icon remains grayed out and no amount of pressing gets it to start. (Ive tried pressing really hard on the icon if that helps).
restarting the iPad changes the name of the icon to 'waiting' and then pressing the icon brings up a warning saying 'unable to install, please try again later'.
anyone had similar issues or knows of a fix? Google suggested downgrading iTunes back to 12.6.3 but that just gets me to the same stage. we are 'between' IT managers at the moment so no real support from the office is available.
Has it been made specifically for you, for your device?
I always used TestFlight, but I think that's now redundant/legacy. A quick Google gave me this… https://www.diawi.com
haven't apple just cracked down on sideloading apps?
testflight isn't legacy, if you are developing for the app store its very much part of the test/deployment process.
thanks - its an app specifically for us at work, and its loaded onto other Ipad pro devices back in January no problem. just neither of mine.
