Anybody using ip camera software.
-emails motion alert
-records to local disc
-records remotely

Windows 10.

Also be good to be able to view on the phone.

Ideally free but happy to pay for diverting
Something if needed.

What does stw recommend?

Blue iris 5 is the cctv nerds choice, I use sighthound personally.
Unsure on costs some offer free single cam versions

Blue Iris seems to be the go-to. It’s not free but it’s not expensive either, there’s a free trial so you can test it out. Used it briefly before moving to Frigate which is a Home Assistant add-on (Linux so you don’t have to worry about your Windoze machine falling over and taking out your NVR 😉). It’s free & brilliant - far exceeds anything you can actually pay for in terms of features - but if you don’t already use HA there’s a reasonable learning curve!

Interesting. I didn't realise there was generic software. I installed Hikvision cameras and use their software and app. Something to consider, unless I've misunderstood what this thread is about!

I have a mix of dahua and hikvision, so use 3rd party software
It's easier for me as I've used it for years so can alter stuff in seconds rather than hours these days.
