Following from HD crsh and rebuild on my old XP machine, copied entire Ipod music album back from external drive back into 'my documents' disconnected external drive, reinstalled Itunes and let it import tracks/music.
The number of files tallys up with the external drive, the Ipod and Itunes. However if you explore the 'my music' folders and go to for example Beastie Boys it only shows Ill Communication and Licensed to Ill. Itunes is showing and playing all the albums I know to be there including 5 Boroughs, Hello Nasty, Check Your Head etc etc as well as Ill Comm and Licence to Ill. If you right click and select 'show in windows explorer' from Itunes then the albums are all there, go up a level to the full contents of the Itunes folder, double click on Beastie Boys again and it only shows Ill Comm and Licensed to Ill again and not the others which its just shown.
Show hidden files&folders is ticked.
Any ideas?
