I’m currently part way through an interview process with my current employer and some of the panel are people I have worked with on and off for a while. It’s a very odd experience.
I feel more nervous about this interview that I do about interviews with new companies.
Yeah I hate them, although have had two. The first was crap - didn't get the role as I didn't sell myself well enough apparently (pfft I hate doing that anyway but just felt very weird bigging up stuff I'd done to one of my managers who really already knew what I'd done anyway). Second one I did get the role but was much more informal (post-merger it was an interview with a new manager + senior technical guy), I was expecting a technical grilling (it was for a technical architect role), ended up just being a few general questions and a congratulations you've got the role (I guess they were desperate :p ), all done in half an hour.
