^ the article I linked to says it is converted tanker, designed for 80,000t, so 10,000t of cranes is easy to ballast out...

i hear they've got some Dutch crane shifting specialists coming in to move them. They were at a bit of a loose end.

They drive the cranes off the ship. Tanker ballast adjusted to level with the dockside then some clever pump work as the load is shifted. It looks like a fun job for the supervisor (if your idea of fun is stress and worry off the scale).

Saw a few passing me by the other day. Looks awesome.
The world needs longer container cranes to cope with the wider box boats which are on the go now, shipping masses of selfie sticks and cheap Chinese torches around the world.
