My wife and I are going to rent out our flat in Edinburgh for the fringe festival.
Anyone done something similar? Taken out special insurance? We have home contents insurance anyway...

Have you spoken to your current Insurer to see if they can accommodate it? May do it for you for little/no extra.
I've a few clients (shameless plug - I own an Insurance brokers - shameless plug) who did something similar. I spoke to the Insurers in questions who all agreed as it was a one off.
I'm not aware of a stand alone policy that will cover it in conjunction with your current home insurance, sorry.
