So, I’m a “mature” student currently (approx 20 yrs after the first time round 😐) and have a week free from tomorrow. I’d really like to work but it seems most temp agencies have a lead time longer than this in terms of assessing you etc.

I heard about a website / app where you could register and local businesses were matched up to you for pretty much instant shifts etc. It was on R4 but i have no idea what it’s called (googling doesn’t offer any help).

As for work.. I’ll do pretty much anything having worked for global mega evil corps and also as a courgette packer (not a euphemism).

Thanks

p.s. gis a job (north derbyshire)

Hello, just a bit of an update - I spent aaaages trawling through stuff and for anyone interested there seems to be a couple of sites offering free lance work to people across the world. I'm currently doing some work for a guy in the US I found on Freelancer (you can upload your skill set info and filter on what you want to do).

Also, Clickworker is good for micro-jobs (15 mins here and there), surprising how much it adds up.

I do stuff for Lionbridge (mapping anyalyst) in my spare time. I fancied a crack last year when work was steady.

Was definitely a challenge getting through the assessment and they are very strict with quality. Lots of stuff to learn though with no pay.

I always think I'm on borrowed time with them.

But you do speed up and they pay on time. And is a genuine work at home job. You can earn around £10 per hour if you're fast and have a good eye for detail.

Grafternow may be worth having a look at.
