Thinking that a couple of wraps shoved in a roadie back pocket might be an appetising treat. What would STW insert into them?

Fake chicken tikka veggie substitute, chopped cherry tomatoes, celery, lettuce and a bit of chili mayo.

But more seriously, peanut butter and banana have served me well in the past.

I used to take peanut butter and jam sarnies on rides, sometimes with added banana and/or bit of marmite.

I could see wraps being very messy to eat on the move, as much as I love a good wrap at home.

To me wraps need a bit of slop in them else I find they can be dry.

This is a story all about
How my life got twist-turned upside down
And I liked to take a minute and sit right there
And tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air

In West Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool
And all shootin' some b-ball outside of the school

When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Startin', makin' trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one lil' fight and my mom got scared
She said, "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air"

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say, this cab is rare
But I thought, naw, forget it, yo, homes to Bel Air

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabyo homes smell ya later
I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

Ah well I'm not that kind of cyclist.

To me wraps need a bit of slop in them else I find they can be dry.

This is what I'm thinking.

Thanks for the (w)Rap.

Omelette. You can’t fight topology.

Fair point but if I like the idea I make make some square wraps.

Tuna, mayo, tinily-diced red onion, tinily-diced cucumber, small squirt of plain habanero sauce (teaspoon size), twist of black pepper, mix well, wrap in wrap, wrap in foil.

What p7eaven said, without the cucumber.

Possibly substitute for slices of cheese and within a couple of hours you could almost have a self cooked tuna melt mmmmmmm

To be fair, sometimes I’ll do diced pickled jalapeños instead of the cucumber and sauce. Keep the onion tho. Cheese is an interesting addition but for some reason I can’t hack the clag of tuna + cheese, never could.

———————————

OP, hot dog wraps are good also. I fry up some Heck Meat Free Magic sossies, add French’s yellow mustard and a little tomato ketchup. Fried/caramelised onions are a nice addition. Add some salt, pepper and sage towards the end of cooking.

Reminds me,pork pies in a jersey pocket get just to the right temperature for the lovely oozy jelly 😁

Some nice ideas. Thank you. I also have a nice little plastic container which slips into a back pocket and holds a couple of wedges of pork pie.

Spread wrap with hummus, like you would butter on bread.

Then rocket, grated carrot, falafel balls, mango chutney.

Thank me later.

Wraps? Keep it old school. Wash it down with a cognac and an espresso

Chicken, cheese, Mexican spices, onion and pepper and some kind of sauce.

A wrap needs a hefty filling.

@ p7eaven
Jalapeños nice too, I almost put that myself also!

For a veggie option possibly get some bahjis or spicy falafel and mix with maybe mayo or chilli sauce (for lubrication)

Lately I'm thinking a bit of finely sliced cheapo iceberg lettuce adds surprisingly well too (not too much and never a whole soggy leaf just lobbed in)
