Drawing circle without a compass is hard, plus screwed up the dimensions.
30. Gear

I'm away with work for the next few days so did the last one today instead.
31. Farm

That's it for another year. Great to see everyone's drawing as always.
More fish 🙂

Maybe someone should curate inkvember? 🤣
Just carry on. I dont like Inktober, after it got to commercial and trademark whoring.
This thread had its titled changed which is good.
This is STW Art Club. (TM) 🙂
31. Farm
Thats lovely.
I dont know how you can know where not to draw, and still have it totally clear whats there. Theres no ink on the fields, but i can still see them!
I would have barrelled in drawing little lines

Small Illustration of Mr Bumpsy

A bit of fun with procreate on an iPad with an apple pencil. It's hopefully recognisable even though it's not accurate.

This is a bit larger scale than I normally do.

Areo Hotah
Another book illustration. For fun.

and finally for today.... Cersei.

Some lovely stuff chaps. I know mines digital but I’ll bung it up anyway. A recent commission for a certain well known supplier of energy drinks… Dougie Lampkin doing the Isle of Man TT circuit on the back wheel. Printed as a 1metre square alloy plate. Looks great up on the wall

Soiled Knight

More fun with Procreate. I did copy this one, but not trace it. Undo is a godsend!

Great drawing... I must try the digital drawing sometime soon.
Bradwell on Sea. Near St Peters on the Wall. With extras because I get bored quick 🙂

and the Power Station.

Cool work everyone.
As an art teacher of 25 years I'm feeling bad that I haven't ever contributed to (or really even looked at) this thread. I don't make resolutions but I will try to make a positive contribution here at some point soon.
Ellis Island Hospital

An art teacher you say 🙂
My partner is just staring out in her art teaching career. Any advice? Bristol area.
Looking forward to seeing some of your work 🙂
The Iron Captain

I'm still very new to this. It's supposed to be Malcolm X but it's a bit off.

Blackbeard
Our Flag Means Death
Raw sketch in ink.

A request from Binneretee number one who wanted me to draw Taylor Swift and print it and frame it for her to take away to uni. Its the cover of Red so I thought I'd do it in shades of red. Drawn up in Illustrator but it needed something more so I asked her for her favourite Taylor quote, which she added with the words 'obviously'. looks nice printed at 12" album cover size in a plain black frame

I might be running a couple of days behind this week. I hope to catch up by the end of the week.
Hopefully there're more than two ot three of us joining in this year.
Nice to see my old thread coming back into use 😉
Attempt at "Dream" Location. Needs colour but no time. Oh well, first day

Spiders
Apologies for the tangent but I feel I should share this.
My mum was horse mad. @jonm81 painted a horsy picture for Inktober a few years back, I thought she'd love it so asked him if he'd be willing to sell me a print. Instead he generously gave me the original which I had framed. I was right, she loved it.

She passed away last month, the photo above is one of a small number I had displayed at the crematorium during the service. I don't think I ever properly said thank you, so, well, thank you.
As you were.
Morning Cougar. I'm very sorry to hear of your mum's passing.
That is a lovely picture of her. You're most welcome and I'm glad she liked the picture.
Almost all my art just gets put in a drawer or cupboard so the fact she, and you, got pleasure from the horse drawing means a great deal to me.
Thanks, Jon
Aw, that's nice. Art is good.
By the way, can anyone actually see my "Spiders" in Chrome? I can't. (can in Edge). This forum is so weird and ropey. I did a refresh on the page last night and it never actually loaded! I mean the page didn't - the circle arrow thing top left just stayed as the "loading" X , forever.
I can see it in Edge on the work laptop but not in chrome on my laptop or phone. 🤔
Cheers. Weird indeed.
Thanks for the likes. Like it much more coming back to it the next day - does look like what it is supposed to represent anyway, which I guess is the main thing 🙂
"Dodge" next.. hmm. Hope someone else posts summink!
Path.
I love that! I so wish I could draw...
Edit, I'm using Chrome and can see the Spiders.
Cheers!
Yeah, Chrome is fine now. I sent a message to tech and its been much faster all round.
Sky Arts 8pm tonight - Portrait Artist of the Decade. I'll be watching that 🙂
Quickie this eve.

Dodge.
Love the path drawing.
I'm planing on catching up on friday as work is mental this week so will post some up then.
Thanks Jon!
PAotDecade has Christian Hook taking part. He's so amazing.
Finally got my arse in gear and got started.
Catching up from day 1.
1. Dream
2. Spider

3. Path

4. Dodge

5. Map (Tried drawing something on an actual map but it looked shite so it got binned)

6. Golden

That's it; all caught up...
Should’ve waited until quarter past 10 tonight to post it really 😉

drip drip drip drip drip
Nice drawings.
Looks like it's only the three of us joining in this year
8. Toad

Just after I finished that, new pens arrived from Amazon... including a .005 and a .003 thickness! Interesting...

Not such a big fan anymore 🙁 All scandals and copyright bullshit.
“Inktober 2019”
"However, the event that was created for artists to celebrate inked artwork has been hijacked by the creator of Inktober himself, Jake Parker."
Pity Inktober is in the thread title 🙁
STW Art Group (October InkFest)
Don’t read any of the bullshit, so don’t care. All I know is it got me back into drawing after 30 years of doing sod-all, so it’s fine by me.

And for that reason alone :-)... I'll better sort some of my pix out. But then again I draw/sketch virtually every day of the year anyway.
🙂

Front to Back

Side topic... Britain's Deetail Knight shield study. Getting ready for Inkscape.

Pity Inktober is in the thread title 🙁
The moderators can change it if you ask nicely.
(Though several years in on STW, it's "known" now so changing it may backfire. I don't know the politics here.)
That's true, might of got it changed in the past.
But .... It Ain't a big deal. But Jake Parker has took the edge off a good thing for me personally.
Might put up some sketches from my last and currant Rough Book.
Everyone should have a Rough Book:-)
Going for a ride now 🙂
STW Art Group is the actual title, so it's cool innit. Like saying why is my mum still called Smith when she's been married twice and is now called Brown. (Or something 😛 ) Anyway, enough politics, what is today's INKTOBER prompt? 😀
"Bounce". (Cue Tigger images 😆 )
A fishing boat at Dungeness. Quick sketch.
