Drawing circle without a compass is hard, plus screwed up the dimensions.

I'm away with work for the next few days so did the last one today instead.

That's it for another year. Great to see everyone's drawing as always.

Thats lovely.

I dont know how you can know where not to draw, and still have it totally clear whats there. Theres no ink on the fields, but i can still see them!
I would have barrelled in drawing little lines

A bit of fun with procreate on an iPad with an apple pencil. It's hopefully recognisable even though it's not accurate.

Some lovely stuff chaps. I know mines digital but I’ll bung it up anyway. A recent commission for a certain well known supplier of energy drinks… Dougie Lampkin doing the Isle of Man TT circuit on the back wheel. Printed as a 1metre square alloy plate. Looks great up on the wall

Cool work everyone.

As an art teacher of 25 years I'm feeling bad that I haven't ever contributed to (or really even looked at) this thread. I don't make resolutions but I will try to make a positive contribution here at some point soon.

A request from Binneretee number one who wanted me to draw Taylor Swift and print it and frame it for her to take away to uni. Its the cover of Red so I thought I'd do it in shades of red. Drawn up in Illustrator but it needed something more so I asked her for her favourite Taylor quote, which she added with the words 'obviously'. looks nice printed at 12" album cover size in a plain black frame

Apologies for the tangent but I feel I should share this.

My mum was horse mad. @jonm81 painted a horsy picture for Inktober a few years back, I thought she'd love it so asked him if he'd be willing to sell me a print. Instead he generously gave me the original which I had framed. I was right, she loved it.

She passed away last month, the photo above is one of a small number I had displayed at the crematorium during the service. I don't think I ever properly said thank you, so, well, thank you.

As you were.

Morning Cougar. I'm very sorry to hear of your mum's passing.

That is a lovely picture of her. You're most welcome and I'm glad she liked the picture.

Almost all my art just gets put in a drawer or cupboard so the fact she, and you, got pleasure from the horse drawing means a great deal to me.

Thanks, Jon

By the way, can anyone actually see my "Spiders" in Chrome? I can't. (can in Edge). This forum is so weird and ropey. I did a refresh on the page last night and it never actually loaded! I mean the page didn't - the circle arrow thing top left just stayed as the "loading" X , forever.

Not such a big fan anymore 🙁 All scandals and copyright bullshit.

Don’t read any of the bullshit, so don’t care. All I know is it got me back into drawing after 30 years of doing sod-all, so it’s fine by me.

And for that reason alone :-)... I'll better sort some of my pix out. But then again I draw/sketch virtually every day of the year anyway.

Pity Inktober is in the thread title 🙁

The moderators can change it if you ask nicely.

(Though several years in on STW, it's "known" now so changing it may backfire. I don't know the politics here.)

@Cougar

That's true, might of got it changed in the past.

But .... It Ain't a big deal. But Jake Parker has took the edge off a good thing for me personally.

Might put up some sketches from my last and currant Rough Book.

Everyone should have a Rough Book:-)

STW Art Group is the actual title, so it's cool innit. Like saying why is my mum still called Smith when she's been married twice and is now called Brown. (Or something 😛 ) Anyway, enough politics, what is today's INKTOBER prompt? 😀
