Got a new iPad with a Pencil. Been doodling whilst waiting for colleagues to reply to Slack messages, so... Rocket.

(I did try and do a version with him holding a gun, but I'm really, really bad at drawing guns...)
Yay, nice MrsToast. Forgot about that Rocket!
Here's my rocket.. geddit? 😛

Had a shite day. Shamelessly copied from clipart as I couldn't be arsed.

17. Storm

17. Storm

I genuinely don’t mean to keep doing Marvel characters...

Reminds me how much I enjoyed doing a Higher in Graphic Communications (fancy title for techy drawing)
18. Trap

I did try a few ‘traps’ yesterday but wasn’t really feeling it...they’re ok unfinished I suppose.

19. Dizzy

Yay! colour! 🙂
My eyes 'urt

Given I am still sitting in the ****ing office, have a 1 1/2 hr cycle home in the rain with a monster headwind I doubt I'll be doing a drawing tonight 🙁
We can wait til tomorrow for your coral themed piece 😉
Nice Cartier-Bresson Bez.
Not a chance I'm trying coral... the main reason I hated paleo was having to draw stuff like that and I suck big time. Couldn't wait to drop it after compulsory Yr1 Geology... which was a shame as I was interested in the subject... just suck at drawing.
Ended up with 2 for "Sleep". Cos I liked the photo of my lady's cat, Charlie and it was quick to do.

Love the baby in the car seat MrSparkle and the cat Dez.
Catching up from yesterday
20. Coral

21. Sleep(y)

Cool. Love the colouring on Sleepy. Pencils?
Cheers jonm. First attempt at drawing Granddaughter. Not too unhappy with it.
I like your Coral.
Good work with the cat DezB.
Thanks MrSparkle.
Yep DezB, pinched some pencils from our daughter's colouring box. I'm liking adding a bit of colour at the moment
Couldn’t find a red biro, which was a bit annnoying!

Did you use your own blood?
Nicely done.
I had a big fat marker and a red pencil. Had to make do, but it is a self portrait 😛
Many happy memories as a kid eating sausage and chips in these places while driving to England to see the grandparents.
22. Chef

can feel another MTB drawing coming on 🙂
Just seen they're doing weekly prompts too for Inktober52. Hoping to keep going and follow that.
https://inktober.com/inktober52

Brutal DezB!
Damn you MrSparkle, you've beat me to it again!! 🙂
23. Rip (Van Winkle)

😀
I was going to do a dog digging a hole but at the risk of being some weird MrSparkle stalker here is something else 🤨
24. Dig

Duh, I did draw a dig dog din't I!
Then was watching Red Bull Rampage on Youtube and thought, hmm there's another type of dig... huh. I I think I'll finish me dog!
Da digging dog done

25. Buddy (Jesus)

At least we won’t do the same thing today as I’ve done the ‘bonus’ thing.

26. Hide

Mr Hyde innit. I think I'll go back to inks.

Cool 🙂
Live Music. I never realised I'd miss so much.
This was hard to get looking decent! I think it's ok 🙂

The music ones are great.
27. Music

I did a large version of this for my oldest daughters nursery as a thank you when she left.
I don't have a picture of it framed but it was approx. 32" x 6"

feeling like Fast Show’s Johnny at the mo - BLACK!

The spaceman is outstanding DezB!
Thanks! Used ink pens, coloured pencils and actually some paint on that one. Black stuff straight out the tube 😊
28. Float

not the most inspiring subject today..

Yeah DezB, wholly uninspiring prompt today wasn't it. I was going to do a drawing of a farrier shoeing a horse but I couldn't be arsed.
29. Shoes

Not had any inspiration of late, but here’s a better crop of shoes sketched earlier. Look sharp innit

‘Tighter crop’. Not ‘better’. They were some truly awful shoes 🤣
PS those pink Docs are ace. I find shoes on feet are difficult to represent well. There’s a ‘weight/gravity/tension’ element to it. DezB nailed it.
I don't think posting "Malvern Rider"'s stuff from last year is quite in the spirit of things... 🤔
^ I lost my login so had to reincarnate. Will try harder tomorrow sir ☹️
Oh, I did wonder. Thought you were nicking someone else's shoes 😛
Oh, thanks for the nice comments, appreciated. 🙂
I'm struggling for "ominous" - trying not to involve too much BLACK...
Ooohhh, that's clever MrSparkle. Took me ages to get it. 🙂
30. Ominous

Ha ha! Cheers Jon. I think you are the only one that got it! Par for the course with my jokes...
I like the Grim Reaper.
I got it! Excellent Reaper, yup. One to go chaps. Really enjoyed it and learned stuff, nicked some techniques. Brill stuff 🙂
Cheers chaps. Well, that's it over for another year. Great drawings from everyone as usual. Next year I might try and use my crap imagination rather than copying and making drawings from bits of random images of t'interweb.
Just bought some oil pastels that were in the sale so might have a go with those and post the results over the next few months.
Last one.
31. Crawl

I ain't more than draw - but here's a couple
-ok so I can't post from Insta anymore. I'll work it out and try again later...
I know my limitations, and one is that I can only produce anything half decent if I copy. It’s one of the reasons I went off art and produced nothing between the 80s and 2010s. I’ve accepted that now and am enjoying putting my own style on copies of photos - more satisfying if its my own photo, of course. Anyway, one more copy due and don’t forget there’s the weekly drawing prompts on the Inktober site.

Good work all. It’s been a nice distraction from reality.
so probably not the best quality but on the hobby machine I have it really struggled with the fine details of the ferret face. The rest came out ok though.
Sorry, I decided try to acid etch onto real metals.
I've been trying to use press n peel designed for circuit boards but I'm really struggling with both getting it printed (mate was laser printing for me and giving me the printed the next weekend when we were riding) and the details/consitency.
Getting this on vinyl seems the next option for etching so I'm wondering if this is a limit of your hobby machine or if I looked about if I could get it done on a "pro" machine somewhere.
I've been trying to cut by hand on some printable inkjet film but its a real pita... one mistake and I have to start again.
From the initial research it looks like the "pro" machines are mainly just bigger?
I am not sure what the pro machines can do. I think there was a thread on here recently where there were a couple of folks who do vinyl printing/cutting professionally. They may be able to give you a better answer on what is possible. I did a couple of test cuts and could do rectangles down to 0.2mm but it was struggling with curves and complex shapes at that point. 0.5mm features seemed OK though for the couple of wiggly test lines I cut.
EDIT: This is the other thread - https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/vinyl-cutter-and-starting-a-custom-paint-business/#post-11322841
Brill... I'll check it out properly. Skimmed it on the phone so far but out riding so I'll read through properly.
No worries. If you can keep the features greater than 0.5mm I'm happy to have a go at cutting things for you.
Thought the art folks might like to see what I drawed for my partner’s daughter. She is a rare child, very non-materialistic and when asked what she wanted for Christmas (by her mum, I should add!) said, Some love. Sweet, so I got none of that, so drew her cat. Bit overdone on the whiskers, but I think she’ll like it
