Excellent stuff !

I'd quite like to give this a go but how do you attach your drawings to a post ?

Either upload them to a photo sharing site (postimage.org is good cos it gives the share url - I use the Direct Link and paste that betwixt the [ img ] tags)
or post to twitter/insta and post the link up.
jonm81 is a full STW member so can just paste the pic into the posting box and it uploads it to the forum's cloud storage (I think that's how it works)
simples! 😛

I used Postimage.org which works really well. This year I thought I'd give the direct upload a go which also seems to work well but is only available to subscribers.

It would be great to see more people joining in.

@jonm81 Thanks! That must have been quite a sight. The engineering involved in it is incredible.

I pondered on:

Rush (the band) Starman logo.

Ian Rush’s face

then went for the easy option!

MrSparkle you're clearly far more cultured than me.

So late thread had dropped to page 2!

Fire!

Thanks for being along for the Inktober ride chaps. Hoping to keep going with the art, though it will definitely not be one a day! Liked the pencil with muted colours so hoping to do more like that. 😊

Just to show you're not alone @Redthunder 🙂
Grabbed an image off a documentary cos I loved the fella's hands. Not happy (as per) with the main hand, but the face was ok. Will probably have another attempt at it.

Somehow I got roped into the secret santa at the school where I'm a Governor. I started to paint an abstract highland cow for my gift but didn't like it so did another fire lady instead.

Turns out painting consistent thickness and spaced lines is very hard. Not too happy with this one.

Righty ho… Inktober approaches, so I hope you don’t mind if I  kick it off a bit early. We’re down in Cornwall at the moment and before we left Mrs Binners handed me a sketch pad and a pack of pencils she’d bought me. It was like being a kid going on holiday 😀

I haven’t actually ‘drawn’ anything with pencil and paper in years now, so this was todays first effort. I definitely need to loosen up and relax a bit with it, but it’s not too bad. More to the point, I really enjoyed sitting and sketching. I need to do more

Who's in for Inktober then?

@jonm81 I like that. The inconsistent lines add to the character.

@binners, that's a nice view.

Here's my most recent drawing, pastels on pastelmat. A crested tit my dad took a photo of. Image snipped from Facebook.

Binners, Jamie - they are both great. Hope they aren't setting the bar for inktober!

I'll be in for it again this year but might be a bit sporadic due to work.

Not interested in their prompts.

Unless we make our own prompts up, of course.
