I'm wondering if these are the answer, to working in my drafty garage, over the winter?

I really don't want to be out there, once it get dark, but bike stuff needs fixing

Has anyone got experience of them? (Portable rather than fixed)

Yeah I used them exclusively in my unheated, uninsulated workshop.

I had I think a 2kw Clarke one from Machine Mart. Pretty good really. They certainly take the edge off and it makes more sense to heat yourself rather than the whole space.

Had some fixed ones installed at work in an area with permanent air extraction. They've been well received. I'm in the process of gathering quotes to install them in some other areas to help cut down on fuel oil and to put in an area that has external doors constantly opening and closing. They seem like an ideal solution if you're not moving around much.
