I've got an idea for an inflatable tent I want to try.

Anyone know what the bladders are made from?

Or for that matter, anyone got a dead inflatable tent suitable for hacking?

It's TPU I think - see: http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/lib/doc/pdf/vango_airbeam_user_guide.pdf

There's an inner tube made from TPU that sits inside a zipped outer tube that I think is probably Nylon/Polyamide. You can buy the Vango inner tubes individually, though you'd also need a suitable pump, which I think is a standard fitting.

It's the inner tube I want to make. Presumably being TPU I can seam weld it.

Now to find a supply.

Thanks 🙂

I've no idea what's used in inflatable tents, but ETFE is used in inflatable roofs. I imagine it costs more than TPU and may not be so easy to buy in small quantities.
