I'd like something to replace our ageing 3 man tent that's quick and easy to pitch and that I can stand up in. So that's probably an inflatable 4 or 5 man tent. If money was no object I'd probably buy a top end zempire, but at ~£1000 that's a bit steep.
The Berghaus 4 air looks like a good combo of price / specs.
Anyone got experience of this or anything similar?

Yup, we've got the Berghaus Air 4, we've only used it once so far but it's fantastic. As is usual with tents, 4 men in it would be tight! Great for three of us. I'd get the size up otherwise.

It's only for 2 of us, we just want some space to sit out of the rain and full standing height.
Good to hear you like it.

we’ve got a Berghaus Air 6, good bit of kit, spacious but weighs a ton so only really suitable for car camping (if you’ve got a big enough car)

If you find the Air 4 too small (maybe if you're going camping in the rain) you can buy an air porch. More than doubles your living space (in the 4)

That's handy to know the: the air porch.
Almost worth buying at the same time for future proofing.

Heimplanet Backdoor

These look really good. The guys from Heimplanet are great and I only hear good things about their stuff. German engineering!

Camped in the summer with friends with a Berghaus air jobbie - they were very happy with it. It was a 6 man though.

Coleman also do various sizes in their Air Valdes range. Ours has been great.

I saw this in Go Outdoors the other day. Haven’t used one, but looks good value for £299:

Have a look at Decathlon. I got a 4 man inflatable with 50/50 sleeping/living area and the fresh/black fabric for £100 in sale (£200 normally).

It's very good. I think it is called Air Seconds 4.

Perfect for two people car camping

+1 on Decathlon. Great quality, well priced. There are some long threads on here about them.

We got a Decathlon one too. It went up easily on the trial run we did and, happily, goes down just as easily and fits back into the bag it came out of to boot! What witchcraft is this? We were supposed to be using it for the first time this weekend at the Malvern Classics :/

Went with the Decathlon Air Camping shelter for the side of the Tourneo Connect. Great bit of kit. Goes up and down easy and packs down small. Was a god send a couple of weeks ago at the Fort William DH.
She went down last night to help at the Malvern Classic but hasn't bothered putting it up due to the cancellation.

You won't beat Decathlons air tents.
Far better thought out than the rest.
As an aside - I have a Nimbus 8 Porch thats only been used twice going up for sale soon.
Fits a T5/Vivaro/etc on the side or rear perfectly.
Has the pump, carpet, etc.

We had the following:
AIR SECONDS 6.3 XL + AIR SECONDS BASE XL FAMILY CAMPING SHELTER
AIR SECONDS 6.3 XL FRESH & BLACK, the shelter did not fit well with the new tent
ARPENAZ 4.1 FAMILY
Large 4man pop up tent
We have had a few Decathlon tents, and loved them all but we have been camping in some really bad weather recently and found the Decathlon tents to be cold and the wind gets in the living area.
This is due to the groundsheet not being attached to the outer fabric.
The tents are amazing for nice hot weather and designed more for French weather.
We have now upgraded to a Kampa with a sewn in groundsheet and it has made a huge difference.

I currently own a Outwell Wentwood. Plenty of space and easy to inflate and deflate on my own as the wife a lad tend to stay out of the way for some reason when it's pitch up and put down time. 😂.

Bought a vango celino air today. Could not decide in the end between that or a kampa brean air 3 for same money so went with vango as has proper porch area and 3 year warranty once registered.

My Air Seconds at Greenman a couple of years ago...

I’m certain the groundsheet is attached to the outer, but I could be wrong.
I had it set up on a matching footprint, which made it much nicer packing up, although it was wet, the base of the tent wasn’t muddy as heck, only the footprint which didn’t matter.

The groundsheet is attached, you are correct but only at the base of the poles.
The length between poles is opened and if it is windy, the wind goes through the tent.
They are great tents for the money but the Vango, Kampa and Outwell are in a league above the rest.

I have same tent as pictured above by CountZero. We have used it on many draughty sub zero nights and have never noticed wind going through it.

Groundsheet is attached, fully tanked and waterproof, and with the correct Decathlon footprint works perfectly even in saturated conditions.

Ours replaced a Vango and IMO the Decathlon Air Seconds is a huge step up in quality, design, and ease of use.

Great info peeps. Thanks.

Only downside I can see on the spec sheet for the decathlon tent is it's "only" a 2000mm waterproof rated flysheet.
The berghaus is 6000mm, and most others seen to be 4000mm+. In the UK, I'm not sure if this is an important factor.

Other than that it seems to be important to have a fully tanked groundsheet, which seems very common.

Decathlon seems good vfm and popular from the comments above. I probably also can't go too wring with the berghaus when it's on offer.
Send silly spending £6-700 when half that gets pretty much all the same features.

Another vote for Decathlon - ours stood up to some serious wind and rain at y-not festival, 2 years running. Everyone else was blowing away and soaked, this was fine.

We have a Kampa Hayling 6 Air pro.
Had the same non air version before and loved it, but we had some issues with the fibreglass poles in bad weather, they didn’t break, but really pushed down in gusts unless we could pitch arse to the wind. The Air version is rock solid, not even a problem in 50mph+ winds on a cliff top in Cornwall 2 years ago. And trust me, a lot of people were packing up and going home that week as their tents had been destroyed.
The family next to us had a steel poled Outwell, and even theirs needed constant attention to guys etc. The guy told us he’d sat there and looked at our tent not moving and was going straight home to order one.
Another bonus is I can pitch it on my own in less than 15 mins, which means less arguments and a much quicker set up time as my other half can do kitchen stuff and beds etc while I’m pitching the tent.
It’s a doddle to put up in the garden as well to dry out when we inevitably bring it home wet after camping in this country!

We have a Kampa Croyde Air which is brilliant. Just be mindful that the polycotton option takes up more than half of my Superb estates huge boot.
