My local rag has a news article about an apparent suicide where the recently departed use a train as the method of dispatch
Here is the article
http://www.essexchronicle.co.uk/Person-dies-struck-train/story-19812288-detail/story.html
So what image do they use to illustrate the sad story? It's only a bloody picture of someone cleaning a train 😯 😯 😯
Half man half biscuit have it covered....
And should there develop high drama
Upon which an inquest is heard
You may like to curb your lamenting
Until you’ve all heard the last word
Well he thought of a love unrequited
And he thought of a life full of pain
It’s a pity he didn’t spare a thought for
The poor bastard driving the train
Sorry i dont feel your outrage. Maybe a pic of the actual train mid clean up gore everywhere would be inappropriate but a stock photo of a train being vacuumed?
I'm not outraged, not in the slightest. In fact I found it somewhat amusing, still a bit inappropriate though
I may be outraged, that you assumed I was outraged though 😉
And further they assert
That any show they'll interrupt
To bring you news if it comes up
They say that if the place blows up
They will be the first to tell,
Because the boys they got downtown
Are workin' hard and doin' swell,
And if anybody gets the news
Before it hits the street,
They say that no one blabs it faster
Their coverage can't be beatAnd if another woman driver
Gets machine-gunned from her seat
They'll send some joker with a brownie
And you'll see it all complete
Trouble Every Day - Frank Zappa
Dont even find it inapropriate.
The news stories that nark me off are the ones describing a death on the roads, where 90% of the article is just explaining how long every one was held up on their way to work. And if its a cyclist, commenting on whether or not they had a helmet on.
