You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Mrs sweaman2 thinks that mushroom counts as a vegetable; I'm less convinced and am sure with the help of google I could find the answer but thought I would see what the collective thought....
Nope.
I don't think it really matters - 5 a day is a guide to healthy living rather than a hard science. Eat 5 a day and there will be less room for junk in your diet, so in that sense yes mushrooms count!
5 a day is a compromise as the government didn't think people could cope with eating the 7-8 we should eat as a minimum according to my Mrs who reads far too much about these things.
I heard yes, but I also heard baked beans do too. As above, aiming low.
Yep, agree with that ^^^ "5 a day" is the absolute bare minimum you should be having every single day, not a target to be hit once a week or so. Just try to eat as many vitamin/mineral dense foods as possible (not just fruit & veg). Mushrooms included (apparently shiitake are particularly good).
