Possibly time to suggest yet another forum besides Bike, Chat and (ahem) member where the increasing number of threads that spiral down into two / a reduced number of people shouting at each other can be automatically shunted? I suspect the algorithm exists to determine the number of active participants, the posting frequency of active participants and the tone of postings, plus the mods could manually shunt. No gagging, just removal of noise for those uninterested parties and a nudge for the participants that they’re potentially in breach of Rule #1. Of course the reversal could also occur.
potentially in breach of Rule #1.
...and with use of the term "Rule #1" - as an appeal to the notion that everyone knows what's obviously right and what's dickish - being one of the automatic triggers?
Would that be the right forum for an argument?
You could have up-vote and down-vote system and eventually if you get downvoted too much it stops you posting until say five other people have posted.
Or, just don't open the thread and comment on some other ones.
I do wonder if GritCX should have had it's own forum. It does get tedious how many threads descend into "I like my gravel bike; it suits my riding" / "Gravel bikes are rubbish because I only ever ride world cup DH courses and they're not good there" type arguments.
They should probably fix / finish the forum platform before adding anything to it.

Can become a bit of bullying or attention white score.
Better off having an ignoring the thread and or user button.
Disappointing STW, so disappointing...
