You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'll start, with the obvious
(DezB is going to hate this, isn't he 🙂 )
** EDIT - I'll be the first to admit, that video is effing dreadful!
'1000
Keeping it in period!... 🙂
This is one of my favourite glam metal songs, but this version is amazing just to laugh at Vince Neil's singing. It has the be heard to be believed. Jesus christ
Crikey - I'm no great Foos fan, but that is brilliant
Loving the track selection so far!
Described by Kerrang as the "first step to global domination", but hey, still the best British live bands I've ever seen
YouTube link surfing from Crikey's post brought me to this. Just brilliant:
I'm not the greatest FOO fan either, but there's something about the combination of so many instruments and voices that makes it a cracking performance.
Thunder were great - saw them support Def Leppard at Don Valley Stadium (along with Ugly Kid Joe and Terrorvision).
Can't bear to listen to Sweat Child of Mine now, but this is still on my rock play-list...
+1 for that Foo Fighter's track up there ^^^.
That's fantastic!

Really good, but you can't help feeling they were 20 years too late, their sound is very Zep or Free (and don't get me wrong, that's a good thing).
The Wildhearts - Vanilla Radio

Saw them many times. Even caught them on the 'reunion' tour a few years back.
Came to post some Thunder. Pleased with the above!
Let's have a little something from this lot,
"Ladies and gentlemen, the band..."
I can do rock ya cheeky sod! Can't stand Guns N Roses, yeah, but, unlike some folk my taste is very broad 😀
Ok, so I heard Big Black's version first, but this is one of my fave songs
Nice choice on the wildhearts
slightly different............... pubrock
OZrock
Feel good you say....
For GnR and specifically being absorbed into a song I’ve always preferred...

Who can't smile at the line "We have to shout above the din of our Rice Crispies"? 😆
Thunder were great – saw them support Def Leppard at Don Valley Stadium (along with Ugly Kid Joe and Terrorvision).
I saw them there supporting Bon Jovi, with - funnily enough - Van Halen and Crown of Thorns. Part of a group of great British Rick bands at the time - Little Angels, Jagged Edge, Gun and more - who weren't "Leppard" enough to be huge, but wrote some amazing songs and did some fantastic shows without massive stage sets
Came here to post some Little Angels and some Thunder.
Beaten to it but i'm gonna do it anyway goddammit...
and some Wolfmother for good measure
That Motely Crue vid is very funny. We saw them play Sonisphere and I was tempted to post that on the "worst live band" thread. They were better on the most recent "final" tour.
Vince's favourite Crue song is apparently "Too Fat for Love".
How about an ex-Van Halen singer?

Skin, too!
And related to the Extreme vid, Gary Cherone talking about Eddie a couple of days ago.

Can't find any video for this, but it was a cracking album...
Wasting far too much time at work!! Good job I'm on my own and it's quiet! 🙂
No poodle-hair rock thread would be complete without some Skid Row! Saw them in Nottingham when they toured this album...
Eddie
More Eddie
I saw Toby Jepson's new group Wayward Sons supporting Living Colour last year, they were not bad at all

Don't know why, but I never got into Kiss - bought a few albums but ended up playing them a couple of times then gave them away to friends.
Better than the original.
The Answer are great live, too.
A lovely tribute here,
HAMMOND TIME!

(With bonus Wyatt and beer content)
If we're bringing it up to date... 🙂
This thread is the youtube version on a Planet Rock afternoon playlist.
Found on Karate Kid, getting a few plays now.
...and breathe out.

Can't be, Rush haven't appeared yet.
I don't know what that was ^^
But it wasn't Metal enough....or Baby enough for that matter
Have we had this already?
some of my choices
White Lion - Little Fighter, with a simply joyous guitar solo from the long lost Vito Bratta
Just worked my way through the whole thread of videos - a few I didn't know, which was good, but a lot of great memories of friends, parties and gigs. I remember seeing Extreme at Gateshead supporting Bryan Adams- think Little Angels opened - when most of the audience only knew them from the ballady stuff. I'm not sure they were quite ready for Pornograffitti. What an album!
Today I've mostly been groovin' to Mr Soul by Buffalo Springfield, as featured on the 'Laurel Canyon' doc.

Saw that tour in Cardiff. Squeeze, Little Angels, Extreme and Brian.
A lot of fun, all of them. Adams was superb, Squeeze were a hoot, Extreme just so much funky rocking, and the Angels? Well, they did their thing and were excellent as ever.
Also, similar to the Extreme point, went to Bon Jovi at Wembley, with the GF of the time and her younger sister, who wanted to see Bon Jovi. She'd heard all the lovely ballad stuff. She along with many other teenagers there, was not ready for the stadium hair rock that ensued!
Saw Van Halen at Don Valley supporting Bon Jovi in 95 iirc.
I went to see Van Halen on the back of this song, and loved it although came away liking Bon Jovi more..oops.
Bought the 12" vinyl single and at the same time bought the below, so I'll leave this here too.

I was at that gig. Left before the encore, the closing fireworks caused a Police horse outside the stadium to throw it's rider and make off down the Attercliffe Road pursued by a phalanx of Police cars 🤣
Nice one Perchy, an awesome track and the only 'Snake track on my device...
Only seen VH live the once, mind you it was Monsters of Rock '84 at Donny so it was somewhat special ;0)
Goerge getting into the Friday EDL.
Mavel tov cocktail by the Wildhearts, or if you're going back a few years Full force lovin' machine or Free and easy by the Almighty.
c_g very much approves of Graham Parker and can't believe I'd never heard him first time round. Excellent to see the late Paul Butterfield mentioned, so talented and have been listening to a lot of his stuff (including with Mike Bloomfield) over the last couple of years. Actually youtube have recently removed a brilliant track of him playing live with Rick Danko, Elvin Bishop and Carlos Santana. So annoying and need to hunt that down.
As you were.
