Down with the step sister and her great kids...she's not had a 2nd coffee yet and were struggling for things to do....I'm aware were on the edge of one of the biggest cultural capitals in the world...

Any help much appreciated!

Not exactly how I'd describe St Albans, but it is quite pleasant.

If you have young kids there is a indoor play centre in Southdown.

Rothamsted park for walking around.

Go up to Dunstable Downs for kite flying and watching the gliders take off and land.

Nice walk on the Dunstable Downs then visitor centre for coffee n treats

You could spend an hour riding up and down the high street and counting the number of pensioners incapable of seeing past the steering wheel of their volvo/lexus/audi/bmw thing as they serenly pull out of the side roads.
