True story - when my Grandad was taken as a prisoner of war during WWII, the German officer said that to him. As my Grandad's name was Tommy, that confused him greatly.

That'll be one big concentrated compendium of offence that will - Xenophobia, sexism, trivialisation of conflict. You're gonna need some counseling after that.

Himmel!

Sexism?! I can't remember seeing a single woman in any of mine! Also used to have a massive pile of these but flogged 'em on ebay a while ago, in bundles of 10.

I liked the one where he jumped up and pushed a doodle bug off course as it was being launched which was nearly as believable as when he smuggled a cow from behind enemy lines with a map painted on it.

Lol'd a fair bit at this - had one like this as a child - despite German lessons the only phrases I can remember are the ones from the book.

The interesting thing about the portrayal of other nations is the way the Germans are shown as being honorable and fair, but the Japanese are brutal and referred to as slant eyed nips.
