What's going on in the bedroom?
Looks strikingly similar to the ADSB antenna for my Flightradar feeder

Someone denied him planning recently ? 😉
Looks like the ridge tiles need

Does your neighbour happen to have a Delorean?
Here’s a better image.
Looks like a gay pride antenna. If a busload of fabulous lesbians turns up, you'll know why.
Here’s a better image.
It's still a helium antenna.
Oh no another mining operation 🙂

Something to do with crypto, you know the currencies that use more energy than Argentina every year and are used to fund all manner of dodgy activity.

Struggling for internet as I'm in the sticks current so take the first link that loads for me
Google it

It's a bit on the squint. Did his erection go up after a heavy night on the lash?
Looks like a scan marine antenna for 4G / 5G - attached to a pole. The sticker at the base of the antenna is where scan normally put their stickers.
Something like this one - or a copy

If it's using 5G then be sure to spread wild conspiracy theories amongst the other neighbours.

Everything you are saying can be correctly said about Proof of Work cryptocurrencies and Privacy coins (although most privacy coins are made intentionally resistant to FPGAs and ASICs so there aren't many that use more electricity than Argentina AND can be used for nefarious purposes).
Helium is neither.
It also has any number of applications from monitoring medical devices to tracking stolen property.
I know this is STW and nuclear hot takes are the done thing but maybe at least try reading the first google hit that pops up before clicking Submit?
As said it's a Helium antenna, possibly a 6dbi McGill. I've got a few dotted around various hosts and a few solar deployments at the top of a mountain.

I'd happily lug any daft antenna off a hill if I found it there.
I'm assuming you've landowners permission?
You assume correctly, they're used for tracking cattle and monitoring water levels but are also some of the best performing hotspots in the world.
Still planning on performing your own brand of vigilante justice on Schrickvr6's hotspots, matt_outandabout?
It allows boy Helium atoms to hook up with girl Helium atoms and when a boy atom and a girl atom like each other very much……
I once saw one of those antennae on a Ford Transit.
Sadly, the couple both contracted van aerial disease.
@matt_outandabout
Yeah I wouldn't do that I've put stuff in some strange places for university programs.
Non of your or mine business to remove, well unless I'm paid too.

I think you need to find a quiet spot and have a think about you've done
Yeah, but what is a Helium antenna?
Looks like a scan marine antenna for 4G / 5G – attached to a pole.

Impossible to tell without seeing a model number, could be single dipole or a set of stacked dipoles so you can't even tell the frequency from the height. Most likely Wifi, but could be anything from a few 100 MHz up to a few GHz.
Guessing it's about 60cm long, so that's roughly 240 MHz if a single dipole, higher if it's multiple dipoles stacked.
LoRa 868MHz.
