Anyone done this? What will I be letting myself in for?

It's actually already on board a steam packet from the colonies, so some of the tricky stuff has been done, but the registration, MOT, import duty etc would be my responsibility.
How much is duty, car tax etc? A simple process or bogged down in bureaucracy?
Any help welcome.
Ta.

Its been quite a while since I've done one and its pretty hard to explain.

First and foremost make sure you have the log book from whichever country registered in (or you could end up with a Q plate).

You should find all the info you need from the DVLA website and they'll send you an 'import' pack.

You will probably have to trailer it away from the docks as it won't be road legal till its had an MOT and it might need a bit of work to make it UK compliant.
