Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good set of impact shorts please?

I don't ride crazy speeds but managed to slam down on a root in the wet and want to have some hip protection along with the usual delicate parts and arse.

Find a few online but not they don't have great reviews.

Cheers
Will

NOT the 661 evos, they have quite good protection, with massive gaps exactly where I want the most protection. It's like they designed a compression short first and foremost then added padding where it'd not interfere with other clothes rather than putting it where you want padding.

I had a pair of the older 661s which imo were very good- bulkier, but that's just what's required. But you cna't get those any more.

Main thing I observed was, don't get anything that isn't machine washable because that's just obviously a thing you want, and don't get anything with its own chamois because the odds of the armour AND the fit AND the chamois all being exactly what you want are about zero.

Thanks @Northwind. I had been looking at the 661's. At least I know not to now. They look good, on Amazon anyway

@thols2 sorry. Probably a snowboarding term. Padded shorts to protect your hips, coccyx, arse cheek

Forcefield are the best i have used. Not cheap but have saved my ass literally both snowboarding and dh.
The hit i took snowboarding would have had me sitting on an inflatable ring for sometime if i hadn't got the shorts on

I use the Leatt Impact 3DF 5.0 shorts and there great, way better than the 661's they replaced. They don't have an arse pad though.
