...said the twunt in the Mazda mini-SUV as he parked across the pavement three feet to the right of a zebra crossing next to the school sports field. You lazy bellend. On the spot flogging is the only solution.
I raised this previously (with a guy who parked similarly in my neighbourhood) here...many thought I'd be better off minding my own business and worrying about more important things. It was very STW. 🙂
"Good, that's about as long as it'll take me to let your tyres down."
agreed that its proper anti social behaviour and we should be able to take their cars from them on the spot
problem is
1) they dont even walk so dont realise how dangerous it is to do this
2) they are so lazy they would do anything to save themselves any fraction of time
3) they think only of themselves and their convenience and not anyone elses needs or safety
What I like best is this
Them:I dont let my kids walk to school as it is not safe.
Me: why is it not safe
Them: Cars everywhere innit
Me : stare into blank eyes waiting for a flicker of realisation

What was his reaction to you saying that to him?
Not to be confused with 'you go to sleep love, I'll only be two minutes...' 🙂
I would be tempted to vote for taking it up a notch or two from flogging. But then again, I'm also in favour of adding bromine to the water supply to specific areas of a town or city to prevent the survival of the weakest society we seem to have...
Peace out 8)
Okay, flogging can be for a first offence.
"Good, that's about as long as it'll take me to let your tyres down."
That will help.
Leave the obstruction on the crossing for a lot longer than the initial 2 minutes.
How many baby robins and children's faces will that kill?
We have the same problem locally. I think the parents of the kids at the local primary think their kids are soluble given the parking chaos brought in by a drop of rain.

That's a hell of a chat up line

Don't forget the valve cores 😈
The zebra crossing zigzags in Cockermouth seem to be a parking place for this kind of tool. Downright dangerous really.
"Good, that's about as long as it'll take me to [s]let your tyres down[/s] superglue all your tyre valves."
Far more effective, they'll be able to drive away, but won't be able to pump up the tyres later.
<in another world>
good, that's long enough for me to start filming you to send to the police
</in another world where the police actually prosecute people for driving on the pavement, I like to fantasise>
As I was strolling up to the PO this evening, I was thinking about this thread and saying to myself "I bet there'll be someone parked on the zig-zags as its a bit cold, a bit windy and it's raining so it's a bit of a push to expect people to walk to the newsagents next door."...and lo... 😀
But it's ok, he left his hazards on.
funny time for a duel
he was just stood in stunned silence by the smouldering good looks of Darcy
He was the driver. 😆

Just to check, this didn't happen at about eleven o clock last Sunday did it?
"I'm only here for two minutes..."
Errr yeah I thought that too when the registered on here a few years ago....
[quote=ninfan ]Just to check, this didn't happen at about eleven o clock last [s]Sunday[/s] Wednesday did it?
could be either to be fair... (probably time we tied that up to be honest, 100th anniversary and all that.)

No, but in any case I don't think my grandfathers fought [s]and died [/s] for the right of lazy dickheads to endanger children's faces in a Japanese mini troop carrier
The Scottish borders got rid of traffic wardens. Guess how much that has helped free flow of traffic in towns.
I think cars encourage anti-social behaviour a) it's very easy to be anti-social with a car b)when you get in you shut yourself off from the outside world - makes it harder to have empathy...
