Broke up for a week (apart from Tuesday), tunes on, beers done and now having a couple of vodkas after a tough week at work.

Chin chin, here's to you and yours.

I’ve been really ill all week but I’m feeling human again today.   Mrs Binners is out for the night, so I’m going to see how much red wine I can drink, what volume of cheese I can eat and give the sub-woofer a good workout 🙂

Already ahead of you.... Spent most of the morning in the river building two dams to make a place to swim. Couple of beers for lunch. Back in the water. Think I caught too much sun.

Feel shattered.

Back off to work tomorrow for a few weeks of enforced rehab, only seems right to have a shandy or two today.

Uncles 90th birthday. All the cousins, etc only a couple of hours, but managed to deal with 3 pints of the amber nectar.

Camping in a field for Royal International Air Tattoo. Was in the airshow yesterday. Today has been chilling at the end of the runway and a couple of local ciders from the pop up bar on site.

I'm not surprised you feeling shattered, beavering away is always very hard work.

Unless you're a beaver.

I have no alcohol in the house and if I go out to buy some "they" might see me.

Brake bled perfectly first time. That requires a beer to celebrate.

Brake calliper sits a few mil too high so need a new mount before I can ride it proper. That requires another beer to get over the minor annoyance.

Another nope.  I’m aware I’ve been drinking all too frequently - not a lot but frequently - recently.   Last night home alone I got three beers in and watched some movies.  Today I feel physically and mentality jaded to the point I cannot face alchohol which has rather ruined my lie- in / rest plans for the day.

Sorry to be a party pooper.

Tonight’s the first night since Monday I haven’t been…

Tuesday, tough day at work, earned it.

Wednesday, vendor sales rep in work, beers on them. It was Crowdstrike, suspect that may have been a waste on their part.

Thursday, different vendor, and former boss, in work. Beers on her.

Friday, pub lunch, then beer fridge at work opens at 4, left at 7.

Bought about 4 pints all week… 🙂

Been brutally ill all week, am on antibiotics, and have a round of golf booked tomorrow which will be no fun if I'm hungover. Will have between 0 and 3 beers today

Did put a couple of beers in the fridge earlier, but then remembered that I'm halfway through a course of antibiotics, so it's a "no" from me

Re antibiotics, of the dozen or so flavours, there’s only a couple you can’t drink on. I’ve been on flucloxicilin all week, fine to drink on.

I’ve been on flucloxicilin all week, fine to drink on.

Specifically told by the nurse who prescribed them on Monday that drinking while I was taking them would likely result in me being sat on the loo for several hours, which I am keen to avoid.

Two beers earlier to celebrate new drive-train (chainrings, cassette and chain), brake blocks  and tubless tyres on the posh bike. Ordered chippy tea only to find that UBER didn't bring the fish for me. Too much booze to go out and get a replacement, so chip butties for me.

On the plus side the Conti tyres went onto new Zonda wheels without needing tape just Revo sealant.

NO antibiotic is fine to drink on - at best you will make them less effective and do it on the wrong one you will be puking for days

Noice. I'm out out with an Apache Pilot, a Royal Marine and an accountant. It's going to be a fun night.

The pilot has already told everyone within a 5 mile radius he's a pilot and the Royal already wants to get naked.

A couple of beers, a bottle of red and my own body weight in cheese in and I’ve just shoved Apocalypse Now on

Could be a late one 😀

Wine before beer etc. Never worked out which way round.

That much cheese you'll get some serious nightmares.

Always beer before wine, makes you fine. And you can never have too much cheese.

The last cheese dream I had that I can remember I was playing baseball with Prince outside media city in Salford. The one before that I was teaching Princess Diane how to light her farts. I love a cheese dream 😀

One (not big) bottle of vodka between us and we are pissed.

To take this to a deep point, I thanked her for saving my life (she stopped me taking my life a few months ago just by being present) and now she's singing for the first time openly in front of me - we got married in march after nearly 6 years together.

Life is challenging at times but by heck the good times always outweigh the crap.

Plenty of Ale, a bit of red wine and a few gins . I'm a bit pished

Ended up with drinking games in the garage. 🙂

I may feel worse for wear in the morning!

Sitting with a cheeky Trappist or three Mrs Ambrose comes in just shy of midnight having been out to empty the dog. One of the houses up the road has an alarm going off inside. Up we trot, me feeling a bit tipsy to investigate. Shouty man across the road winds his neck in when he realises that I'm on the phone to the police.

Semi-pi55ed Ambrose with his dodgy hip is wandering around the outside of this rather nice house whilst all the time talking to the nice policeman on the phone. Beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep going on in the background all the time. Reg number of nice car relayed over the phone to the police, lots and lots of banging on the door, ringing the bell and shouting through the letterbox too. No answer. Police are coming to investigate.

Blimey, so much for a quiet night in.

Off it tbh, and based on my latest blood results looks like it’s going to be permanent. I’ve just picked up 5 dozen bottles of McLaren Vale Cabernet from work and they are sat under the carport with no home to go to. So much for working in the booze industry. ?

Always shave just one eyebrow off as that gives said victim a dilemma; buy a false one or shave the other one off.

Wasn't good this morning! May have been a little ill.

Sat in the sofa in the afternoon drinking tea, eating biscuits, and watching the TdF highlights from yesterday, and then today's final stage.

Much better now thanks 😆

It's been a long day today.  I was out in brum yesterday with some ex work mates.  Don't remember much about the journey home, apart from the fact that I was sick (twice as far as my hazy memory recalls), then passed out on the walk home.  Only woke up when it started raining... Not big, not clever.  I did at least make it onto the train from brum, and I got home without losing anything, which is both a bonus and a turn up for the books.  I was also introduced to some German beer that tasted just like smoked sausage. Quite possibly the worst/wurst thing I have ever drunk in my life.  Tried to eat a smoky barbecue salad thingy from M&S earlier, but it just tasted like that ruddy beer.  I think it's given me PTSD.

@toby1 do one.  I have sent the link to my mate though, so I'm sure he'll be very grateful to you.

Mrs has just come in from a big walk and had the rest of that smoky barbecue salad thing for her lunch. I had to leave the room.  One sip was all I had. One sip early doors, and I'm now scarred for life.
