I reckon someone is spoofing your number as the sender of their spam. Not much you can do about it. Maybe worth speaking to o2 as they can verify your innocence and maybe stop the responses from reaching you.

One of the texts said how did you get my number, then another said I want to know that too. Obviously I'm not texting to a group so they are scamming me .

Turn your phone off for a bit, that'll presumably help prove that it's not actually you

Edit - and will stop the angry replies for a while, too

I'd suggest just blocking the numbers individually.

Bit of a faff but it's probably the path of least resistance.

I went through a phase of getting dodgy texts from what appeared to be mobile phone numbers... Just keep blocking them.

Just keep blocking as and when they come through.

I've just checked an I have approximately 80 blocked numbers in my phone...
But they have been accumulated over several years.

I this particular case, it wouldn't supprise me if all these spoofed numbers are from the same person or organisation, trying to create the impression they are different people, to see if you reply.

Once you reply they know they have 'live one' and your number might be targeted for further shenanigans.

Just block and move on.
