Leaves seem to be appearing quite quickly here, but if we get the possible 17 C weather at the weekend I'm hoping it'll pop out pretty quickly.

Rain, yeah I've heard of that stuff but living in the north I've not seen it for a few weeks now.

Spring is here on the coast. I've been hacking trails that in the last 3 weeks have turned from rusty brown & grey mulch into bright green and bursting flowers. Wild Garlic has been sprouting for at least 3 weeks and those little yellow bunches of flowers you get in forests have popped up over the last couple of weeks now.. Blossom on trees has just started to come through ( in the last couple of weeks ) but I'm still waiting for Bluebells which would be popping up by now despite my best efforts hunting them down. So I'd say we are about 3 weeks behind....
Won't be long now folks...

When will the wind stop please?
Once the wind dies down I'm going to apply to be in a tour de france team because riding into a head wind for three months has made me the hardest rider on earth.

or something.

The M62 is much more bearable in the sun, although novelty will wear off soon.

It's been sunny for ages up here. Wish this wind would piss off though.

The lambs are just out at the farm along my road. I think the farmer put the ram in with the ewes a bit later this year, after last year, smart man.

And my cat brought me three dead and one mostly dead baby birds this weekend.

It's spring alright !

For the first time in about six months I considered that I might be able to swap the 3/4 length Roubaix bib for some shorts.

I even thought about taking my beanie off.

Spring has definitely sprung.

Saw one being born whilst out on a road ride last Sunday.
Messy, but kind of humbling. I was the first thing it saw so I think that makes me its daddy 😀
