well its been just over 3 weeks since i proposed to mrsconsequence, since then we've (well... i have, she's fretted about the dress and argued with me until she realised i'm awesome and was right all along):
booked the:
venue
photographers
caterers
band
DJ
charity photobooth
animal videographer
inflatable entertainment
chair hire
PA and lighting

we've written the:
invitation text (all day and evening only)
invite list (all day and evening only)
hotel/B&B information
mrsconsequence has already written her vows
quiz (still need to plan a prize)
ordered and received/awaiting delivery on:
charity donation envelopes
100% recycled wine/pint/1/2pint glasses, plates and napkins for cake (all 100% recyclable afterwards too)
cake topper
alcohol
The dress Becca chose arrived today, so fingers crossed it fits and she loves it.
We're meeting up with a graphic designer on saturday to design the invites, decorations and theme (colours already chosen for the event), then on sunday we're going back to the venue to play/draw up some specific plans about positioning for decorations and take detailed measurements so we can get to making everything 😀
So after saturday (still less than a month after proposing) all we've got left on our list is to find some wedding rings (charity shop) and make the decorations. its gunna be a fun day, money shouldn't be a barrier for people to attend as there's no dress code and we're not asking for wedding presents, just donations to charity if people want to, in fact even the venue has been chosen so money goes back into the community i grew up in 🙂 Best of all its all happening on our 6 year anniversary!
my favourite things so far are the bike themed cake topper, the DJ wanting to fly back from a festival he's playing early for our party, the animal videographer plans and the fact that it turns out we've got hundreds of people who want to come, cutting the list down to 100 for the whole day and 60 extra people for the evening has been the biggest challenge, we're having to offend a surprisingly large amount of people by not inviting them... but i'm pretty sure they'll understand or they dont deserve to come party with us anyway lol.

EDIT - animal videographer is my genius idea, everyone who knows about it thinks its amazing, but i'm reluctant to say much more as if it doesnt work... nobody is expecting anything special. but it has the potential to be a very funny video 😀 Much better than paying someone to wander round with a big camera making everyone feel uncomfortable!

no pressing need, we were gunna book something in for sept 2013, but a sunday spent with becca's family meant an over excited mother-in-law and new plans to do it this september as our anniversary falls on a saturday. definitely not pregnant as we did a test 2 mornings ago lol.
