I have lost slightly over 21% of my body weight in around 18 months.

Under 12stone for the first time in well over 20 years.

And 30” waist size (can’t ever remember that before) not since I was at school I suspect.

Feeling pretty good today 👍

Bloody brilliant. Well done!

I'm still fighting with the last half-stone I want to lose, so you're success is an inspiration.

Congratulations! That is a pretty cool achievement and considering the length of time involved, it's probably sustainable too. Win, win! Well done.

Nice work.

Move more, eat less, or something more 'scientific'?

before and after pics? they can be great inspiration for others you know!

i managed to the same as you a couple of years ago, and i've managed to make it stick, with the odd dalliance of noticing my weight increase, then taking the required action!

well done, you're no longer a negative health stat 🙂

Jeez, if it accounted for 20% of your body mass, you should have kept it and made some money from it 😉

Great result - 30 inch waist is proper skinny.

Now see how strong and fit you can get!

Hugo - £1/gram is considered acceptable in weight weenie circles. So if the OP is now 12 st having lost 21% this means he was originally 15st2 2/3Lbs. So he has lost 3st2 2/3= 20.274kg.

£20k in bike terms gets you a Yamaha R1 and an SC Highball.

Well done mate. Last year I was 203 pounds now I'm 157 so I've lost 46 pounds dunno what that is in percentage as my maths days are well behind me. And now I too am in 30 inch jeans 😉

@firestarter. That’s about 22.5% well done!

Pfft – i managed that and it just involved lying down for a few hours

😂😂👍

Nice work.

Move more, eat less, or something more ‘scientific’?

Combination of eating better, not really less (at least at first) and a change of jobs meaning I don’t drive all day every day.

Now see how strong and fit you can get!

Just got booked in for a Full Ceramic Hip Joint replacement in September (.. I’m only 45!)

So I’m unlikely to be getting stronger and fitter sadly.

But the missing weight will speed recovery I hope ?

Absolutely.  Less force being put through the joint.

So I’m unlikely to be getting stronger and fitter sadly.

Why not?  Hip replacement doesn't mean a sedentary life - you can certainly get fitter and definitely stronger!  More muscle around the joint can only be a good thing.  Got be done right, but I would certainly be resistance training of some kind! (in the right timeframe)

There's a 50 year old lady at my gym, with a replacement hip, who competes in Power Lifting and Crossfit.....

Not at all, I just mean that I have 4 months to wait for my OP, and then whatever recovery time I will need, before I can do anything other than walk short distances (in pain) and be spaced out on painkillers.
